A new milestone was reached in Chapin Athletics with the Boys Soccer team winning another state championship to give Chapin a total of 50 State titles. The team beat Eastside 1-0 to clinch their third state title in a row. The team accomplished an incredible feat this season by posting 11 shutouts in a row. Senior, Sailor Chason was asked how it felt to do this and said “It feels exactly what we deserved and worked for.” Jack Humphries another senior said, “I knew we were the best, so I knew we weren’t gonna get scored on.”

With a very strong core group of seniors graduating, their will certainly be many younger players thrown into bigger roles next season. A learning curve is certainly to be expected for the team next year with many new faces, but senior Matthew Greco certainly thinks they can adjust and be successful. “The midfield and forwards are going to be really strong, the back line will struggle a little bit, but overall they have a bright future,” Greco said.
