On February 1, 2025 the annual Miss Chapin Pageant was held at Chapin High School.
The theme for this year was the “Wizard of Oz” with a highlight of the yellow brick road and how it represents each young lady’s journey through life. Each contestant showed a new outfit during the opening dance, “casual wear,” and everyone’s favorite, “evening wear.” The girls were also required to perform a series of interviews prior to the pageant and answered the question,“Where do you see the yellow brick road taking you in the future” during “casual wear.” Each grade level has a winner and the grand winner is overall named “Miss Chapin.”
These winners are selected by a round of judges, these judges change each year of the pageant. This year’s winners are listed below.
Miss Freshman: Delaney Wells (Runner up: Salley Simmons)
Miss Sophomore: Atyria Douglas (Runner up: Kylie Taylor & Mullins Gore)
Miss Junior: Ashlyn Anderson (Runner up: Emma Easterling & Margaret Floyd)
Miss Senior: Emma (Elli) Parler (Runner up: Trilby Whitley & Piper Peterson)
Miss Chapin: Rowan Hardee (senior)
Aside from grade level winners, awards for Miss Congeniality (selected by peers), Miss Photogenic, and People’s Choice are also awarded for upper and lower classmen.
