Bernie Football vs. Flying Hawaiians goes into three OT’s before the winner is decided
In week 4 the Zips continue their dominance and move to 4-0, while the ConVicks increase their tally to only 1 loss moving in at 3-1. The ConVicks only loss coming to the Zips in the first match up of the season will be looking to turn that result around in the playoffs.
The final match up of the evening didn’t disappoint in being the 3rd week in a row that the late game ended in overtime. The match up between Bernie Football v Flying Hawaiians ended well for the Hawaiians, but could of been over in regulation except for a call by their head coach Dalton Noffsinger at the end of regulation. With the lead with practically no time left and the lead, Dalton looked to put the win in Bernie Football’s face and went for one final touchdown. That ended in tragedy with a fumble on the snap and a return by Walker Norris to tie the game up and force overtime. In the 3rd overtime period a great catch by Cameron Whitman gave the Hawaiians the victory, giving him player of the week honors for week 4.
As we go into the final week of regular season, it is sure to be a tight race to make the playoffs.
