As the second semester starts, and the end of the year grows near, graduation grows closer and closer. As seniors plan and work towards the future, they are also reflecting on their pasts. Growing up everyone has had an item or memory of sentimental value, may it be a doll, or a blanket, maybe even a stuffed animal; as this senior class starts to close this very important chapter in their lives, we would like to remember where the story started, back when you only cared about growing up. We asked Seniors to tell us about their favorite toy as a kid, and share some of their favorite memories from their childhood.
Jay Campbell plans on becoming a music producer and likely going to USC. When asked who has had a major impact on him, he named his parents because they raised him and helped shape his life. Jay shared that his favorite toy growing up was Legos. One of his favorite memories growing up was “Going on a field trip to the beach on my birthday,” he expressed.
Ethan Tribuzzo plans on becoming a Neurosurgeon and will most likely be going to Newberry College because he was recruited to play Division III Lacrosse. When asked who has had a major impact on his life, he said Jesus. His favorite toy growing up was also Legos.
Addison Sadler plans on becoming a special needs teacher and will be attending Lander University. When asked who had a major impact on her life, she said her mom and dad. Her favorite toy was American Girl Dolls and her favorite memory was playing basketball outside.
The class of 2026 has worked hard to become seniors, as crucial decisions are made and students start to commit to colleges; It’s important to acknowledge how far they have come in their journeys both as students and individuals. From the time they started walking, and until the time they walk across the stage in May, acknowledge their accomplishments and growth. We wish them the best as they continue to learn and advance into adulthood.
