Every year Student Government comes together and does a fundraiser for Golden Eagle evening. It is called Coming Home. Coming Home is the strictly the only fundraiser that goes towards Golden Eagle Evening. All the clubs in our school come together such as Key Club, National Honors Society, National Arts Honor Society, JROTC, Junior Civitans, Gay Straight Alliance, and Beta Club go around Chapin and ask for donations from businesses. Clubs that raise $100 or more will be recognized at the Pep Rally. Each club is required to choose at least two businesses, although it is encouraged to do more. Also, there is a Coming Home King and Queen. The winners to this will be the club that raised the most money for Coming Home fundraiser. Each winning candidate receives a $15 gift certificate to the restaurant of his/her choice.
Coming Home is very important because it raises money for Golden Eagle Evening. Golden Eagle Evening is a night when Chapin High School students honor their senior citizens. It is a night when senior citizens can come dance and dine free of charge.
