CHS Welcomes Mr. Mize
Chapin High School welcomed a new history teacher this year, Mr. Mize. Mr. Mize is excited about being a part of the Chapin family.
Prior to working at Chapin High School, Mr. Mize was at Richland Northeast High. He has experience teaching drama, leadership class and has been a guidance counselor, and a student activities director. When asked what our school should know about him, Mr. Mize said ” I am active in my church, have performed in community theater and directed school productions. I love to travel and I am a huge Disney enthusiast.”
Mr. Mize’s favorite things about CHS are the students and the atmosphere of the school. He says demographics and the school schedule are some of the major differences between Chapin and Richland Northeast. Although Chapin may be different from his old school, Mr. Mize says the people in Chapin and the school’s reputation influenced his decision to become a part of Chapin High School.
Now a part of the Chapin family, Mr Mize hopes to be able to make the students appreciate history. He also wants to help make our student government recognizable at the state, regional and national levels.
