Chapin Varsity Girls Tennis finishes as state runners-up
Following an Upper State Championship victory over rival AC Flora, The Chapin Girls Varsity Tennis team finished as state runners-up after losing in the state final with a score of 2-4 in Cayce last Saturday. Even so, this team accomplished something that hadn’t been done here at Chapin in a very long time and brought home some serious hardware with the runners-up trophy.
“The team played their hardest this year and didn’t give up. We believed in ourselves and got to state for the first time since 1998 through the dedication that every player put fourth.” – Cameron Shull, Chapin junior tennis player
“Didn’t get the outcome we wanted but we had an AMAZING season and I couldn’t be more proud of our team!” – Emily Head, Chapin senior tennis player
Congratulations CVGT on an outstanding season!
