Pray for Jack
During the Chapin Varsity lacrosse game on Wednesday, March 4th, Jack Enright suffered from a fractured neck. Jack was rushed to the hospital, immediately had surgery, and was in the hospital for over a week. Jack is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Shepard’s Center in Atlanta.
The Chapin community has been supporting Jack and his family through many different fundraisers in and out of school. The CHS student government is selling t-shirts, car magnets, and bracelets at school to raise money. Throughout the state, events such as a 5k and a poker run are being held to create funds and awareness for Jack. Jack’s cousins have set up a Go Fund Me page that has raised over $25,000 for the Enright family.
Jack’s mom, Ann Enright, updated the community on Jack’s situation and said “His spirits have been so uplifted seeing the posts and support back home. Chapin has been amazing, but the entire Columbia area and all of SC (and even beyond) have been so supportive, and we all feel the love and prayers being sent to Jack as he takes on this fight to walk again.”
As “Pray for Jack” started as a school campaign, it has now progressed to become a statewide mission. Although we may not be able to help with his current medical state, Chapin High School as well as all of South Carolina is behind him in every other aspect. The community will continue to support Jack and his family on this long road to recovery.
