South Carolina State Fair 2017
The 2017 South Carolina State Fair is starting up from October 11 to October 22. The Fair Grounds are downtown Columbia (1200 Rosewood Dr, Columbia). Bring your $5 in cash for parking, and $10 for an entrance fee. Opening day entrance fees are only $1! After 6:00 pm, everyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent to enter the fairgrounds. The fair has been a success over the years.
Giovanni Macaluso, a junior, says, “My favorite part about the fair is the food.”
Canyon Durham, also a junior, said he preferred the rides.
Charlie Larosa, a senior, said, “I like the weather.”
Ms. Walton, a science teacher, said she likes the funnel cakes.
Mrs Huckabee, an English teacher, said she likes funnel cakes as well but only plain with no sugar.
Officer Stash said, “I hate the rides, but my favorite food from the fair is sausage and peppers.”
Shannon Rychener, a junior, said, “My favorite ride is the spaceship spinney thingie.”
Jack Stegura, a junior, and Braxton Coffman, also a junior, both said they liked the fried oreos the most.
Garret Sabaka, a senior, said, “The fries gotta be my favorite food.”
