On Wednesday, January 24th, the American cable and satellite television network known as C-SPAN visited Chapin High School in a tricked-out bus.

The visit was a part of the networks series called C-SPAN In The Community which aims to involve members from the community and promote the offerings from the network. With over 230 million hours of content, C-SPAN broadcasts information regarding unbiased national politics.

The bus is fully equipped to shoot live televised interviews with government officials as it travels through the United States. The network especially used the bus while following presidental candidates on the campaign trail during the 2016 election to get the most reliable coverage.

When asked about her experience, Sarah Fuller, a junior, said “I liked that it was in small groups, it made it more personal”, and described it as professional and intriguing.
