Class of 2018 Graduation Ceremonies
Chapin’s class of 2018 graduation ceremony will take place at Colonial Life Arena (801 Lincoln St, Columbia, SC 29201) at 8:00 am on June 9th. Seniors must arrive at 6:45 on June 9th in order to be completely prepared for these ceremonies.
Graduation practice is mandatory or else graduates will not be able to walk at the ceremony the following day. Graduation practice will be held at Chapin High School on June 8th from 1:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon and stoles will be given then.
Students must wear formal attire, and it must be simple designs. Guests will not be permitted to bring large packages, balloons, noise makers, etc. Parking may be an inconvenience so carpooling and getting there early might be a good idea.
Preparing for graduation can be a big deal for many seniors. Some seniors take advantage of the hotels near the arena. Staying at hotels the night before graduation can be a fun experience for graduating seniors as well as a convenience for the following morning.
