​Last week in Week Zero the Chapin Eagles (1-0) reeled off 49 points against the Columbia Capitals in a shutout in Memorial Stadium. The Eagles were led offensively by Senior QB Logan Bailey who was 19 for 22 with 259 yards and 2TDs, along with 3 Rushing TDs. Defensively the Eagles were led by Senior LB Garrett Reinhart who finished with 12 Tackles, 3 Tackles For Loss (TFL), and 1 Forced Fumble.

​Now, the Eagles put their focus towards rival Mid Carolina (0-0) in Week One. The two teams will “Battle for The Bell” in the 58th* meeting where Chapin holds a big advantage of 40-17 against the Rebels. The Eagles are looking to keep the Bell for the 3rd straight year after the two teams started playing for the Bell 4 years ago. The Rebels will be led by Junior QB Corey Stone, who looks to regain possession of the Bell for his MC squad.
