Senior Trip to Disney World

The seniors of Chapin High School took their annual trip to Disney World and Universal Studios last weekend. They were there from Saturday, April 23rd through Tuesday, April 26th.

At arrival the seniors were welcomed with a massive party at Universal Studios, known as Grad Bash. Seniors from all over the country were invited to this unforgettable event. Grad Bash offered free food for the seniors and the live entertainment of singer/song writer, Jason Derulo. Chapin also took the liberty in purchasing early entrance passes for all their students so they could enjoy even more time in the park.

Alyssa Powers, a senior who attended the trip said, “Being in the park with only seniors was really fun and seeing Jason Derulo live was definitely my favorite part.”

The Class of 2016 spent the next two days reliving their childhood and exploring Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

“I rode a bunch of rides and met a lot of characters. My favorite things were meeting my favorite childhood princess, Ariel, and seeing Mickey Mouse’s light and firework show, “Fantasia”, at the end of the night. It was incredible,” remarked Kalli Lominick, another senior who attended the trip, when asked what her favorite part was.

After a weekend of fun in “the happiest place on earth,” the seniors dreaded coming home.

“Being in Disney reminded me of what it was like to be a kid again. I think this trip was a perfect goodbye to my younger years before I enter adulthood. I recommend all future seniors to consider going on this awesome adventure,” said Baylor Manley, senior class president, offering advice to underclassmen.
