Chapin’s Snow Day
On March 12 the Chapin community got a taste of northern weather. Flakes began falling at around 6 am in Newberry, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Richland, as well as Sumter counties. Though there were no significant closings in the Chapin area, the snowfall did cause the USC v. Michigan State baseball game to be cancelled. There is no more expected precipitation throughout the week.
Chapin High School freshmen enjoy the snow day by building a snowman. “It was great getting to spend the day playing in the snow with my friends,” says Mary Grace Galloway.
“I enjoyed seeing the snow all over Chapin but it’s crazy because just a few days ago the weather felt like summer,” says CHS senior, Faith Morris.
