Seniors Leave Their “Quotation” Mark on Chapin High School
As the deadline for seniors to submit their quotes nears, many are scrambling to decide what kind of words they want to be remembered by.
Some seniors decide to chose funny quotes while others chose meaningful one that they feel represent themselves or their high school experience.
Ali Pope chose a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that she believes describes her because she has always managed to stay true to herself no matter who she surrounds herself with, “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” Another senior, Lauren Turner, chose a more comedic quote that she also believes best describes her life, “Zorbas of Chapin how can I help you.” She chose this because she works at Zorbas and has spent most of her time there.
Reece Rutherford chose a motivational quote by Nelson Mandela,“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” He feels that this symbolizes the end of high school and all of the work that he did to graduate. Conrad Kerr chose to represent his friend group ‘the golf boys’ with his quote, “Golf boys until I die”
