March Madness Tournament of Books
This is the first year that Chapin High School’s Media Center is holding March Madness Tournament of Books. Chapin students can sign into a QR reader posted in the Media Center entrance and vote for their favorite books out of the brackets. Books of the same or similar genres go against each other and the students determine the winner. “There have been a lot of students who have voted, but we encourage students who have not voted to participate in future rounds,” said Ms. Adams, the Media Specialist in Chapin’s Media Center. There are four rounds in the competition. So far one round has been completed and round two is in progress.
The winners for round one are as follows:
The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven
The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson
A Million Little Pieces by James Frey
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
Girl in the Blood Coat by Monica Hesse
The round one leader picked eight out of eight brackets correctly. The second round ends today and results will be released either later today or Monday. If you would like to vote in round two, click here.
