The last week of January Student Council and Key club sold Krispy Kreme donuts to donate to the Haiti crisis. The Young Democrats club and National Honors society went around the school, and asked for donations for Haiti, also. All donations will be going to the Red Cross.
Love Green is selling flowers for there Plant-A-Pansy fundraiser. Plant-A-Pansy is a fundraiser is when an individual can plant a flower for their significant other. Pansies will be two dollars. Love Green will also be having a Starbucks Coffee sale later in the month. All earnings will go to environmental causes at Chapin High.
Love Green will be doing Adopt-A-Highway on February 20th on St. Peters Church Road.
Awards, Nominations, and Achievements:
Nikki Kallenbach won 3A Cheerleader of the year award for South Carolina.
Alison Smetana won Student Environmental Excellence award if the year for the Sierra Club.
Student of the Month is Barret Bradham.
Victor Frick was nominated for Old Spice Red Zone player of the year.
Paula Weinspach won Teacher of the year for Chapin High School.
Cheryl Longshore won Support Staff of the year for Chapin High School.
Cheerleaders will be recognized on February 4th at 10 am at the State house for their achievements.
