The Chapin track teams officially opened their season on March 19 after many weather delayed practices with a home meet against Batesburg, Ninety Six , and Airport.
The girls finished first over all in the meet which was highlighted by two school records being broken by Senior Shaleighya Sulton. Sulton broke both the shot and discus school records. The previous shot record was 37’6″, Shaleighya threw a 39’4″ record. She smashed the discus record by over 2 feet with a school record 109’9″.
