2018 Challenges to Gain Internet Fame
A Satire for the Modern Day “Challenge”
Our generation has the pertinancy to do completely sane challenges in order to gain publicity like the “Tide Pod Challenge.” It all began with the Cinnamon Challenge, “Charlie Charlie” Challenge, Drink-a-Gallon-of-Milk Challenge, “I-have-all-my-fingers” Challenge, Ghost Pepper Challenge, “The Kylie Jenner Challenge,” etc. These challenges are not to be confused with those ridiculous challenges that raised “awareness” or “money” for charitable foundations, such as The Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS.
It is truly tragic that people have died due to the Tide Pod Challenge because there was no clear instructions saying not to put them into your mouth. Tide Pods are colorful and look just like juicy bits of candy, so why would people not film themselves eating a chemical detergent?
2018 began very intelligently with people putting these detergent pods in their mouth, to varying degrees of infamy. It’s a shame the delicious Tide Pods are being taken off the shelf because obviously there is nothing dangerous about eating chemical detergents.
So to help with the need for Internet fame, here is a list of challenges that should continue in 2018 because they are perfectly sane and will get people the views they are desperately seeking on the Internet!
- “Electric challenge” – see how long you can keep a fork in an outlet
- “Speed bump challenge” – lay in the road and pretend to be a speed bump
- “Medium rare chicken challenge” – see how much raw chicken you can eat
- “Bleach challenge” – see how much bleach you can drink and survive. Only name brand Bleach will do.
- “Water Moccasin challenge” – see how many water moccasins you can catch and kiss if you live on Lake Murray
- “9 Lives Challenge” – see if you can survive a fall from a dizzy height, like a cat
- “Ouija Challenge” – see how haunted you can make your house by talking to spirits with a Ouija board
- “Dryer Challenge” – see how long you can last in a dryer while it’s running. Bonus points if you use a name brand Dryer Sheet!
- “Bee Challenge” – how many live bees you can eat without being stung
- “Book Challenge” – see how long you can read a book without dying of boredom
*PLEASE DON’T ACTUALLY DO CHALLENGES 1-9!*
