Chapin Volleyball

Chapin volleyball has had its ups and downs throughout the 2022 season and currently stand on a 10-10 record. The team’s chemistry is there, but some of their opponents have gotten the best of them.” We are a strong team that has our struggles, but we know how to rebound,” said Chapin volleyball starting striker Dani Mejia.

The Eagles squared off in their last match against a very competitive Dutch Fork Volleyball team. Although the Foxes won 3-1, the game was incredibly competitive, and the Eagles showed a lot of heart. Senior, Claire Hodges, says that they “rallied together as a team”. She put emphasis on the fact that although they ended in a loss, they “held strong every set”. Going forward Claire believes that if they keep the same energy for future games, they will be a “stronger unit overall”.

The student section for the Chapin Volleyball team has shown out this year. Whether it is having a theme, holding signs, or screaming at the top of their lungs, the student section is there to support the team. “The student section fuels us every time we play. They cheer whether it is going our way or not, and it definitely fuels us” says senior, Logan Webster

This Wednesday, the Eagles will take on White Knoll high school to add to their record and prepare for playoffs.
