With mentioning Chapin’s cross country team we can not forget to give some well-deserved praise to the amazing coach, Ashley Halmon for coaching our varsity cross country team. Her leadership and dedication to the team reflects greatly through the runners and their progress throughout the season. With her hard work and support Chapin’s cross country team is headed to state this upcoming weekend. A team is nothing without its coach and with Ashley Halmon as Chapin’s coach the team is looking forward to an outstanding finish to their 2025 season.
Chapin has shown tremendous success this season with their cross country team. The boys and girls JV and Varsity team placed second overall in region. The boy’s varsity team dominated their race, placing first in the 5A division 2 5000 meter run, while the girl’s varsity team followed closely behind with an impressive second place finish in the same division, qualifying the entire team for state.
With the success Chapin has had, the season is not over yet. The team was headed to state on Saturday November 15, 2025. Chapin Highschool go cheer them on as they make a strong finish to the season.
