Chapin High School has begun construction of the new stadium!

This $9.9-million-dollar project will impact students, and athletes in this upcoming school year. These renovations will include an increase of seating capacity from 4,500 to 6,500. New seats will be placed on each side of the jumbotron, and there will be an additional row of seating placed below the new press box.  Along with the addition of new seats and press box, there will be a new concession stand, entry plaza, restrooms and field lights. A renovation Chapin athletes can be excited for are those made to the player locker room and restrooms.  Anthony Turnbow, a cornerback and key piece to the Eagles defense stated that “the new stadium is going to bring a whole new energy to Friday nights at Chapin. It is going to take us into a whole new era of Chapin football, and in a good way”. This is definitely an exciting time for Chapin sports and the Chapin community!
