Senior and Team Captain, Alec Rutkowski, breaks all-time school records to win the 50 Free and 100 Fly at the 3A State Championship meet on October 5 at the USC Sol Blatt pool.  Catherine Bendziewicz broke her own all-time records for the 50 and 100 Free, placing second overall in those events.  Catherine, a sophomore and Capitan of the swimming Eagles, now holds the school record for six of the eight individual events in high school swimming.

 

Placing in the top ten, Emily Gleaton swam her best time to place  9th  in the100 Breast;  Denise Shealy, Brianna Broussard, Emily Gleaton and Catherine Bendziewicz  also placed 9th  in the 200 Medley Relay, shattering the school record for that event.

 

The Eagles State Team put the finishing touches on a 5-2 winning season with fantastic individual and team swims at the State Championship. Other outstanding swims and best times were posted by: Brianna Broussard in the 200 IM and 500 Free; Denise Shealy in the 500 Free; Alexa Ussery in the 100 Back; and Will Tenbrunsel in the 100 Back.
