CLUB NEWS

Student Government had Golden Eagle Evening on Feb. 20th, and was very successful.  Golden Eagle Evening is a night when senior citizens come together and are treated to a dinner and a night dancing.  Golden Eagle Evening is funded by the Coming Home fundraiser. Love Green and Junior Civitans did Adopt-A-Highway on Feb. 20th on St. Peters Church Road. 

It was very successful. 

Love Green raised about 120 dollars for their Plant-A-Pansy fundraiser.  Money will go to environmental issues at CHS.  Pansies are located near the amphitheater. 

National Arts Honors society is painting the back drop for the school play “Into the Woods.”

National Arts Honors Society made about $100 dollars for their “Hearts For Haiti” fundraiser.

All money is going to the Red Cross in efforts for Haiti.

Key Club, after having a successful Coming Home fundraiser, will be electing officers for next year.

On Feb. 25th at 7PM speaker, Deborah Early will be discussing drugs and alcohol among teenagers.  Parents, students, and the community are invited. 

On Feb. 26th there was an assembly celebrating Black History Month.

Congratulations to Daphne Sims and Lawton Burkhalter for being National Merit Finalist!
