Chapin High’s Mock Trial team is headed to state.
The team is 2nd in the region which is the highest they have placed in 12 years. In each region they only take the top 2 schools They are taking on state on March 8th and 9th.
The team members consist of Colby Braden, Jacob Braden, William Brown, Riley Bulwinkle, Taylor Bulwinkle,Savannah Campbell, Sara Carroll, Riley Gilbert, Caden Hamm, Preston Kunkle, Ella Magee, Bryson Massey, Charles Newhouse, Aaron Parr, Cameryn Smith,Sarah Wildt, and Elizabeth Yong. The Mock Trial sponsor is Mrs. Gilbert.
Preston Kunkle, a member of the mock trial team, says “A lot of work has been put into this and the progress that we have made throughout the season is great. I’m excited to see what we can do at state.”
The team’s sponsor Mrs. Gilbert says, “The kids are extremely bright and gifted in the courtroom.” The team has been meeting everyday now to prepare for state competition.
