“Under the stars, beside a lake, near the ocean, on a beach with a hot spring, romantic candles and a dinner for two. That’s the romantic story Sophomore, Daniel Cook described as what he wanted in his fantasy Valentines Day. But Sophomore, and girlfriend, Maria Mielke somewhat disagrees. “All that would be great, but what would be better is a ring.”
What is your dream Valentines Day? Out with the one you love or at home chilling with Snuggles, the cat? Some people like being solo on February 14th, others like spending time with their significant others. We asked some students and couples at Chapin High School, what’s your dream Valentines Day?
Sophomore, Lauren Mckinney said it would be most romantic going out to eat at my favorite restaurant, getting flowers, jewelry and a big teddy bear!
It’s always sweet getting gifts from your Valentine, “My dad got my mom a back massage kind of thing, like a spa day and had a romantic night… When they weren’t divorced.” Said Freshman, Heather Freidrich.
“My dream Valentines Day would be an amazing trip to Hawaii, eating on a boat with a romantic candle lit dinner, laying under the stars talking about HOW GREAT I AM.” Says Sophomore Devin Coltrane.
Valentines Day is a special day. A day to be with the people you love and show them how much you care. Valentines day is a day filled with love and a time to cherish the people around you.
