Students were shocked to see Mr. Ross, principal of Chapin High School, arrested by SWAT on Thursday, November 8, 2012, but the arrest was all part of the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s pledge drive.
In order to be released, Ross was seeking to raise up to $2500 through personal donations to post bail.
“While it’s not a real jail, it’s even more important as I’m raising bail to help children and adults with muscle disease in my community who are supported by the vital work of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA),” Principal Ross said.
Ross was able to raise nearly $600 for the cause.
