Chapin v. Camden Football Preview, Analysis

Chapin’s Logan Bailey rushes for a touchdown in the LR game.

The Chapin Eagles football squad (6-3, 2-2) look to send their seniors out with a win on Senior Night, which happens to also be the last regular season game and a conference game that has huge implications on the outcome of this year. This game, which occurs on Halloween night, will be a brawl with the Camden Bulldogs (5-5, 3-1) who are on a three-game win streak, with the most significant of those wins being a 39-30 victory over Dreher. The Eagles, after suffering a 35-33 heart breaker to Dreher last week, need a rebound against Camden to remain in playoff contention. Chandler Engel, Chapin’s standout senior running back, is on pace to be back from the high ankle sprain injury he suffered in the Richland Northeast game that had him out the past two weeks. He is expected to share reps with the healthy junior Ben Fischer.  Quarterback Logan Bailey played through an injury last week against Dreher but will be ready to go this week. The high schools and communities of both schools greatly anticipate this match-up which will certainly be one to remember as the Eagles and the Bulldogs battle it out for a playoff spot.
