Winter Giving Assembly 2015

On December 16, 2015, Chapin High School held the annual Winter Giving Assembly. The school had been raising money for around two months, and donated over $5000 for Jack Enright’s Project Walk fund and the organization Hope and Freedom. Food was also donated to District Five’s Food Foundation.

The $3,000 raised for Jack Enright will be used for a 24 hour rehabilitation program to help him walk again. Hope and Freedom is an organization that provides fishing and hunting activities for wounded warriors.

During the assembly the Drama Class, the Chorus, the Orchestra, the Band and the Guitar Club. The Chorus sang Faith Noel, March of the Kings, and Wizards in Winter.

Chapin’s Drama Club performed a play that combined the most popular Christmas movies including Elf, Christmas Vacation and Charlie Brown’s Christmas.

The assembly concluded with Santa Ross making an appearance along with his bag of candy and Chapin’s famous heartbeat.
