Q: Are you excited/nervous about becoming AD?
A: I am excited, bunch of new things to learn, looking forward to it.
Q: Do you like the fact that head coach and AD are split?
A: Yes because it gives the AD an opportunity to focus on all sports, not just the football team. It was too much work for one person.
Q: Are you still coach for the offensive linemen?
A: No, they are separate jobs next year
Q: Will there be any changes to sports programs next year?
A: I will try to focus on all sports next year. If the board approves new sports we will work with them if possible.
Q: How does your family feel about you becoming the new AD?
A: They are ok with it. Coaching took a lot if time, so they are use to me being at school longer.
Q: What exactly are the responsibilities of AD?
A: Making sure we follow high school, district, and league rules, and that we support all sports
Q: What do you hope will change about the athletic department?
A: That it will run more efficiently. Since the head football job and AD are split, it will allow me more time to focus on all sports.
Q: .How will you make that change?
A: I will try my best to focus on all sports at Chapin High School.
Q. Will this position keep you at work much longer than usual?
A: Yes, I have to attend all athletic events. For example, one week there were ten school nights in a row where there were sporting events.
Q: Have you been aiming for this position?
A: I have applied for the head coaching job for the past two years. This year when they decided to split the job I took it when it was offered to me.
