Lady Eagle’s Basketball Season Ends in 3A Playoffs

Chapin, S.C.- A successful season for the Chapin Varsity Lady Eagles basketball team has ended following a 70-52 loss to Greer (19-5, 12-2) in the first round of the 3A playoffs Tuesday night. The Eagles (11-8, 6-4) fought valiantly on the road, scoring a season high in points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Yellow Jackets.

Chapin had an up and down early start to their season, starting 5-3 with losses to River Bluff and twice to Newberry. The Eagles then finished third in region behind the number one team in the state, Dreher, and Lower Richland. The Eagles now prepare for next year, only having to replace one starter, Olivia Chapman, and three bench players, Hailey Monts, Cameron Gentry and Jordan Dawsey.
