State Ring Bling

Chapin Men’s Soccer have won back to back State Championships and their recent win is on display with their new state rings. For the returning players, this now means they have two state rings.

For many players, this ring symbolizes the long hours of practice, the injuries, and the obstacles that the team had to overcome to get to the championship and come out with a win. A senior and captain, Josh Corning, loves his rings because “they represent the whole season and how much we had to do to get where we ended up.” Another Senior, Sailor Chason, said “I like the ring because it represents hard work and dedication, and because not many people have two.” A junior, Ethan Dawsey said “Now that us returners have two state championship rings, we are extremely motivated to get a third this upcoming season.”

Their 2016 state ring (left) has the eagle claw on the face surrounded in diamonds while the 2017 state ring (right) is a little bigger and has the Chapin Soccer shield. For the Chapin soccer program, this state championship tallies them up to four in total and they’re hoping to continue to raise this number in the upcoming seasons.
