There’s a rich history behind the tree that stands in front of the school. It’s actually a  shrub by the name of  camellia sasanqua  and it was most likely  planted when the original building was standing on the current site.  Despite its age, it  has survived harsh conditions and the stress of construction of the new building. Right now, the tree is in full bloom.
