Yara Abusamra, the co-editor-in-chief of CSPNEagles.com entered into the SC Scholastic Press Association or SCSPA’s Journalist of the Year competition. She was announced as one of the finalists on February 11th. To enter into this competition she had to compile a formal portfolio of her work through the years and include several teacher recommendations. Yara has been in a journalism class for the past four years, developing her editing, writing, and photography skills through the years.
