CHAPIN HIGH HAS TWO STUDENT ATHLETES SIGN

CHAPIN, SC-Chapin High School’s Kolt Doss and Carter White made it official Monday, February 24, 2014 by signing their National Letter of Intent to play Football.

 

Kolt will be attending Limestone College in the fall. The Saints are coached by Bobby James and will participate at The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II level. Doss has made a deep impact on the football field. His accolades consist of two time All Region recipient, 2014 Team Captain, and ranked in the Rivals Top 100 for the entire state of South Carolina. Kolt moved to the interior line this year from the tight end position.

 

“Kolt proved to everyone that he was a selfless player by making a move to help the team”, said Chapin head football coach Justin Gentry. “I am so happy and proud of Kolt and the opportunity that he is going to have at the next level.”

 

Carter will be taking his talents to Presbyterian College. The Blue Hose are coached by Harold Nichols and they are members of the Big South Conference of The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. White has left his mark on Chapin football. He is a two time All Region recipient, Region Player of the Year, 2014 Team Captain, North South All Star, and All Area.

 

“I am extremely proud of Carter and everything that he has been able to accomplish here at Chapin High School”, said Chapin head football coach Justin Gentry. “He has the opportunity of a lifetime and will excel on the field as well as in the classroom.”

 

“This is a great day for Chapin Football and I am looking forward to both of these young men going on to the next level and making their respective schools as proud of them as I have been over the last four years”, Gentry said.

 

The signing took place at 10:00 in the Gym lobby of Chapin High School.
