Chapin High School’s Pride of the Midlands Band won the 3A state championship title with a on Saturday, October 27. They beat their main rival, Blue Ridge High School, by a .8 margin. Chapin went undefeated throughout the entire season, and won lower state the previous weekend. They swept all of the Caption awards at state. They won lower state last year as well, but placed 4th at state. This is the first time they have won state since 1985.
