South Carolina Upsets #10 Kentucky At The Buzzer

Brandon Yenco goes “Above the Rim” as he talks about the upset of USC over Kentucky.

On Wednesday January 15th, the 10th ranked team in the country took a trip to Colonial Life Arena to face off against the South Carolina Gamecocks in an SEC match up.  Colonial Life Arena was packed out as it held 18,000 people at full capacity in a “down to the wire” classic.  The top scorer for Kentucky was Immanuel Quickley who had 20 points and shot 6-9. The top scorer for the Gamecocks was Jermaine Couisnard who had 26 points and the game winning 3 as time expired.  The Gamecocks receive their first win in conference play and they have a tough schedule ahead of them. The Wildcats receive their first loss in the SEC as they are stunned by the Gamecocks. Kentucky is one of the better teams in the SEC and they are confident that they can bounce back from this upset.

This season of college basketball has been one of many upsets and is very interesting as there are no certainties as to who is supposed to win.  Are more upsets in store?  Will the top ranked teams be the same as the dance inches closer? We will see as the season goes on.
