While the sun went down, the flames of the silver fox weren’t up.
Chapin’s first night pep rally in the fine arts parking lot was the “kick-off” to another great school year. Thursday, august 26th, was a night full of fire, pies, corn hole, velcro, and a bungee rope.
The pep rally was a way to help pep up Chapin’s football players for the game against Dutch Fork.
Starting the night off with delicious hot dogs and cool drinks, Chapin students had fun with all the activities. Corn hole seemed to be the most popular event due to the fact that it was a tournament. With all of the fun, most students felt good about the new night time pep rally.
“It made me excited because it pepped up our players,” said junior Stephen Hutto.
Senior Nick Raines likes the new pep rally format.
“I thought itw as a good idea – a new idea.” Nick said, “I could tell someone’s trying to change the school for the better.”
There was a less than impressive attendance compared to a normal day pep rally, but there were more games and activities.
Even with the disadvantages, students say that it was still worth the while.
“Even though there weren’t a lot of people, it was still a lot of fun,” said sophomore Alyssa Vella.
