Buck Stops Here for Berry

Buck+Stops+Here+for+Berry

As all hunters know, deer season is here. It started August 15and lasts through January 1. Students at Chapin High also enjoy hunting. Hunting is a very enjoyable activity and anyone that has not experienced this wonderful sport should. It is a very fun sport that everyone should experience.
Deer hunting is not only for boys. A lot of girls like to hunt too, like sophomore Savannah Berry.
“I believe it doesn’t matter what gender you are. You should try deer hunting,” said Freshman Dylan Edenfield, “I’m ready for rifle season because it’s easier than bow hunting. I got my first deer of the season; it was a doe that weighted 116 pounds.”
Edenfield is not the only Chapin hunter who enjoys hunting.
Junior Dyllon Burns said, “I like deer hunting but I only go if I am not duck hunting.” Burns even travels out of state looking for a kill.
“I’ve have been out of state hunting in Pennsylvania. I killed an 8 point deer.”
Junior Jesse Amick hunts anywhere the who can get to.
“My biggest deer was last year it was a spike. Yeah, I also went hunting out of state, such as Florida and North Carolina, but I like South Carolina’s hunting the best.”
Boys are not the only hunters. Some girls enjoy the thrill of dressing in camo, shouldering a rifle or bow, and headed into the woods hoping to find their elusive prey. Tenth grader Savannah Berry is one such student.
“I’ve been hunting with dogs in Brencebille, SC, since August. I killed a 110 lb doe with my bow. On Friday, October 1, I killed a nice 8 point with a musseloader,” said Berry.
So as it turns out a lot more people here really enjoy hunting than expected.
