The Chapin Chamber Choir performs for the Chapin Rotary Club Sunrise meeting.

On Thursday, December 5, the Chapin Chamber Choir and a few members of the Hilights Show Choir took a field trip to the Chapin Rotary Club Sunrise meeting. At the meeting, students sang two holiday-themed pieces for the Rotarians, as well as a few special guests in attendance.

Special guests included former Chapin High Principal, Dr. Akil Ross, current Chapin High Principal, Michael Ames, Chapin Middle Principal Anna Miller, and former Chapin Intermediate Principal and current District 5 Director of Accountability, Vann Holden.

The first piece performed was an arrangement of “Silent Night” arranged by Peter Anglea. The second song performed was “Christmastime” arranged by Heather Sorenson.

The two songs performed at the Rotary Club meeting will also be performed at the Chapin Choral Department’s Winter Concert, in addition to other prepared songs. The concert will be held at Chapin Presbyterian Church on Friday, December 13, at 7:30 PM. Tickets purchased ahead of time cost $7.50 for adults, $4 for students, and $30 for a household. Tickets purchased at the door cost $10 for adults, $5 for students, and $30 for a household.
